Trader Joe’s Announces Opening Date for Seaport Location

California-based grocery chain Trader Joe’s has announced that its location in Boston’s Seaport will officially open on Friday, Oct. 25.

The shop, which is located at 44 Thomson Pl., will be the first grocery store in the Seaport. The new storefront is part of Thomson Place, a block of three former warehouses being jointly redeveloped by Invesco Real Estate and Crosspoint Associates Inc.

The new location will be open daily from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Murals inside the store will offer nods to the community’s history as a fishing hub. The building will retain details of the original space, including brick walls, timber columns, exposed beams and tall arched windows.
