Tower Under Contract to Furby Creator for $75M

Randy Rissman, whose Tiger Electronics churned out Giga Pets and Furby plush toys in the 1990s, is under contract to acquire 150 N. Wacker Dr. in Chicago  for $75 million. American Realty Advisors of California is selling the 246,613-square-foot building. The seller acquired the property for $56.5 million in 2007, before the previous real estate downturn.

Rissman sold Tiger Electronics to Hasbro for $335 million in 1998, and launched Leo Capital Holdings, a venture capital firm, in 2000. Rissman also owns a nine-story loft office building in Chicago at 600 W. Fulton St.

Camille Julmy with CBRE is representing the buyer, and HFF is marketing the Wacker Drive property on behalf of the seller.
