Top Prices for Lower East Side Condos

Sales of condominiums and co-op apartments in New York City may be slowing down overall, but a few condos in expensive new buildings are selling at eye-popping prices.

One condominium at One Manhattan Square, now under construction, has reportedly gone into contract for roughly $13 million. A penthouse at 215 Chrystie Street asking $23.5 million is also in contract for “close to the asking price,” said Dennis Mangone at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, director of sales at 215 Chrystie.  Two other penthouses in the building asking over $18 million are also reportedly in contract.
