Top Fun Family Fun Center Opens – At Last

Top Fun Family Fun Center opened in Longview, TX, 18 months later than the original planned launch. The family entertainment center is at 111 H.G. Mosely Pkwy., on the site of the former Skateplex building. The center offers an arcade, laser tag, go-carts, indoor soccer fields and an on-site restaurant.

Founders Matt and Ashley Morgan conceived of the Top Fun project in October 2014, and was ready to open the 39,000-square-foot center during the summer of 2015. However, feedback from area residents, combined with city parking and sewer requirements stalled the project.

A zoning board variance allowed the Morgans to open with 110 parking spaces (less than the 360 required). Additionally, Top Fun is operating with temporary certificate of occupancy, while the company works out sewer issues. “I don’t know when we expected it to open,” Morgan told the Longview News-Journal. “But we did not expect it to take 26 months.”
