Top Broker Honorees: Darcy Stacom and William Shanahan
The CBRE duo of Darcy Stacom and William Shanahan was responsible for approximately $6.4 billion of investment sales transactions, primarily in Manhattan, during 2018. Largest of these was Manhattan’s second-largest single-asset trade ever, in which Stacom represented Google in its $2.4-billion acquisition of Chelsea Market.
2018’s formidable dollar volume was characteristic of the Stacom/Shanahan duo’s longstanding track record. Also characteristically, deal size in 2018 varied—widely.
Although 2018 was dotted with transactions of over $500 million, including Trinity Real Estate’s $650-million trade of 304 Hudson St. to Disney for a Hudson Square campus, Stacom and Shanahan also arranged a trio of sales on behalf of Church of St. John the Martyr on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The total value of these transactions was approximately $30 million.
