Top Broker Honorees: Berkadia Dallas Team

Berkadia’s Dallas investment sales team is comprised of five senior-level advisors with more than 100 years’ combined multifamily experience, and more than $23 billion in total sales volume. Led by managing directors Jay Gunn and Tom Burns, the team closed $609 million of investment sales in 2018.

At one end of the deal spectrum was Retreat at Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney, among the first dispositions of a large Class A community in Collin County, with 100% of the unit interiors upgraded. It created a pricing benchmark for sales of turnkey, suburban, post-2000 vintage, garden-style communities.

Conversely, the team successfully negotiated the sale of a large-scale Class C redevelopment portfolio to a single buyer—a type of transaction that happens only infrequently in the Dallas/Fort Worth market.
