Top Broker Honoree: Weitzman’s Matthew Rosenfeld

Matthew Rosenfeld of Weitzman closed sales of retail properties totaling $68.8 million in 2017. His 12 transactions totaled 1.9 million square feet of space.

Rosenfeld has risen to be one of the top retail brokers within Weitzman and Dallas-Fort Worth in just five years.

His successful transactions in 2017 include the sale of Valley Square Shopping Center, which proceeded even through the property was on the brink of foreclosure from its maturing CMBS loan — adding time pressure to the sale. Three retail tenants went dark while the property was under contract, and the anchor tenant, which occupies 52% of the mall, renegotiated its expiring lease.
