Top Broker Honoree: Kevin Larimer

Kevin Larimer directs Berkadia’s National Student Housing Advisor Group, which completed $354.5 million of investment sales in the student housing sector.

Among the year’s most notable Berkadia student housing deals, Larimer and his team completed the sale of The Courtyards, an 896-bed student housing community serving the north campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. They managed to overcome the investment community’s perception that a north campus location was inferior to a central campus location. By highlighting the fact that the university’s STEM programs were located mainly on north campus, and the university was projecting the majority of its growth on this campus, the team was able to focus investors on the advantages of such a location and exceed pricing locations.
