Top Broker Honoree: Transwestern’s Gerry Trainor

Gerry Trainor closed sales of office and industrial properties totaling $591 million in 2017. From Transwestern’s offices in Washington, DC, he led complicated, influential transactions to a successful closing.

For example, the $80-million sale of 6701 Rockledge Dr. in Bethesda, MD, included an agreement with the building’s single tenant that increased the property’s value. The General Services Administration/National Institutes of Health agreed to renew its lease at the 247,414-square-foot building in exchange for $45 million in tenant improvements.

His top deals for 2017 also include the $66-million purchase by Douglas Development Corp. of a parcel of nine sites at 1801 New York Ave. Northeast in Washington.
