Top Broker Honoree: Ethan Silverstein

A vice-chairman at Cushman & Wakefield, where he represents some of New York City’s largest and most prestigious tenants and landlords, Ethan Silverstein closed 134 leases in 2018 with a combined value of $2.9 billion. That averages more than two completed deals per week.

Of these 134 transactions, one of particular note was his work on Discovery’s New York City headquarters. He represented landlord TF Cornerstone in Discovery’s 360,000-square-foot, long-term commitment to 230 Park Ave. South.

Moving its base of operations from Silver Spring, MD, Discovery’s commitment shows that New York is still where larger tech and media companies want to be. Silverstein was also a key figure in WeWork’s 2018 expansion, inking some 250,000 square feet of deals with the coworking firm.
