Top Broker Honoree: Andrew Goldberg
Andrew Goldberg, a 25-year industry veteran, was the first-ever retail broker to be named vice-chairman in the history of CBRE. Named CBRE’s top retail producer in 2017, he went on to complete upwards of 50 leasing transactions during 2018, representing brands that included Tiffany & Co., Valentino, Tourneau and Balmain.
Goldberg’s most notable deal last year was also Manhattan’s largest new retail lease in 2018: Tiffany & Co.’s sublease of Nike’s 73,350-square-foot space at 6 E. 57th St. The jewelry giant will occupy this sublet space, adjacent to its owned space at 727 Fifth Ave., while the Fifth Avenue flagship is undergoing renovations over a three-year period.
In all, Goldberg arranged 53 leases last year, with a combined value of nearly $414 million.
