Tony Moiso Steps into Chairman’s Role at Rancho Mission Viejo
April 6, 2017
San Juan Capistrano, CA-based Rancho Mission Viejo initiated a leadership succession plan, with long-time company president and CEO Tony Moiso transitioning into the role of chairman. Donald L. Vodra was named president, and will continue serving as COO of the land development company.
Moiso served as president of the family-owned business for 45 years, and will retain the CEO role. Vodra, a 20-year Rancho Mission Viejo veteran, will be charged with helping recruit and train its next generation of leaders.
Rancho Mission Viejo traces its roots back to a ranching empire started in the 1880s. The company’s land holdings once spanned more than 200,000 acres, reaching from Oceanside to Lake Forest.
The final 23,000 acres of the ranch include two developments currently underway, Sendero and Esencia, which are planned for 14,000 homes and 17,000 acres of open space.
