Toll Brothers 34-Acre Site Near Tesla: Industrial to Residential

Toll Brothers has reportedly acquired a 34-acre vacant lot in Fremont, CA with the hopes to take the industrial hub and infuse a mixed-use residential project called Warm Springs Station.

The plot, near Tesla’s plant and the BART station, will be transformed into 260 market-rate apartments, 132 affordable units and 608 for-sale units. With a hefty $84 million price tag for the land, it represents one of the largest Bay Area projects being developed, and will likely break ground in early 2017.

The project’s architects include: Van Meter Williams Pollack, VTBS and Woodley Architectural Group, designing with a goal to attract “high tech and young professionals.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Erik Hallgrimson represented the buyer and seller, a private partnership including Westwood Co.
