TOD Affordable Housing Proposed for Rogers Park

A new plan for 7070 N. Clark St. in Chicago’s Rogers Park has been proposed. Specifically, developer Ross Real Estate Services is interested in building a complex that will offer 54 residences, 20 parking spaces and approximately 3,300 square feet of ground-level retail space. What makes this proposal unique, however, is that 42 of the apartments will consist entirely of affordable units.

Ross has currently entered into a contract for the property, which is contingent on zoning changes and low-income housing tax credits. The property had been targeted for a development that stalled when the recession hit.
