Toasted Yolk Scrambles from Houston Base, Plans Expansion
The Toasted Yolk, a breakfast-and-lunch Houston-based chain, announced an expansion from the Bayou City into Dallas and San Antonio. Also on tap are openings in the southeast U.S., including Florida. The company indicated it would open three new locations in early 2020, with 17 additional units in the development phase.
The restaurant is operational in 11 locations throughout the Greater Houston area, with nine of those cracking open in the past two years; franchising began in 2017.
The concept focuses on daytime service, local food sourcing and a bar with boozy cocktails. “With several new locations and franchise opportunities on the horizon in 2020, we look forward to expanding our eatery and bringing our unique offerings to new communities,” said Matthew DeMott, who founded The Toasted Yolk in 2010 with partner Chris Milton.
