TM Real Estate has built two apartment developments near what used to be an American Express campus in Plantation. Now, it’s building a third. The site will be on 4.3 acres at 8490 Cleary Blvd., on the corner of Pine Island Road.

The S. Florida Business Journal reports the developer filed a plan for Shalimar North, which would include 145 units in a five-story building. The plan would include 19 workforce housing units for people making up to 120% of the area median income, utilizing the city’s workforce housing density bonus.

The apartments would range from 453 square feet for studios to 652 square feet for one bedrooms to 966 square feet for two bedrooms. The project would include a pool.

MSA Architects will be the project designer and the planning firm is Craven Thompson & Associates s office.

The developer purchased the property for $33.5 million in 2014. TM Real Estate completed the first two phases of the Shalimar Midtown apartments there, with a combined 480 units and 10,000 square feet of retail.
