Tishman Speyer’s Spiral Tops Out, 51% Pre-leased

Tishman Speyer celebrated the official topping out of The Spiral, its 1,031-foot-tall office tower rising on Manhattan’s Far West Side. With Pfizer, Debevoise & Plimpton and AllianceBerntsein all committing to sizable footprints there, the 2.8-million-square-foot tower is 51% pre-leased.

Rob Speyer, Tishman Speyer’s president and CEO, was joined on Tuesday by Gary LaBarbera, president of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York, Peter Davoren, president and CEO of Turner Construction Company and a group of trade partners to celebrate the topping out.

“The continued rise of The Spiral is a testament to our vision and optimism for New York City’s future,” said Speyer. “I am grateful to Gary, Peter and their teams for partnering with us on a plan that kept their members working and construction on schedule, while also safeguarding everyone’s health and well-being over the past year.”

The Spiral is scheduled for completion in 2022.
