Tishman Speyer Wants to Go Higher in S.F.
Tishman Speyer has submitted a proposal to increase the Bay Tower’s structure from 300 to 400 feet tall. The building, known as the “Twisty Tower,” sits at the corner of Folsom and Spear Streets in San Francisco.
The area is part of the city’s Transbay Redevelopment Plan for Transbay Block 1. Tishman Speyer is planning 339 units for the tower, with construction set to commence in February. Chicago-based architect Jeanne Gang is the designer.
More details about the Bay Tower will be released following a January 19 meeting of the San Francisco Planning Commission.
