Tishman Speyer to Add Food Hall at International Square Office Building

Tishman Speyer has announced plans to add a food hall at its International Square office building in Washington D.C. The building, which is located at 1825 Eye St. NW, currently features a food court.

The firm plans to add a food hall with 20 vendors, as well as a bar. Tishman also plans to add a grocery store and two restaurants to the lower level of the building. Additional building upgrades will include a new fitness center, conference center and a lounge.

Food halls have become popular in Washington D.C. of late, replacing the more traditional food court in many locations. The former Ballston Common Mall, which is now Ballston Quarter, recently opened the Quarter Market food hall. In downtown, the owners of Anthem Row have planned a South American-themed food hall at the property.
