Tishman Speyer Secures 166K-SF Office Lease in D.C.
Real estate developer and owner Tishman Speyer has signed law firm Wiley Rein LLP to a 166,000-square-foot lease at 2050 M Street, the firm’s newly-delivered trophy office property in Washington D.C.
The 11-story, 340,000-square-foot 2050 M Street project was developed on an assemblage that included the existing site of CBS’s Washington D.C. bureau. The lease transaction marks the D.C. market’s largest relocation so far in 2020. Wiley has more than 240 attorneys and advisors representing clients in complex, high-stakes regulatory, litigation and transactional matters.
“We look forward to calling 2050 M Street Wiley’s new home. Our single-office model unites our firm in ways highly beneficial to our clients and our culture,” said Peter Shields, managing partner at Wiley. “This unique space will provide greater opportunities for collaboration and connection throughout the firm, which has been an integral key to our success.”
Lou Christopher, Jordan Brainard, Tim Dempsey and Greg Maurer-Hollaender of CBRE represented Wiley in the lease transaction.
