Tishman Speyer Readies for 370K-SF DC Office Building
Tishman Speyer will launch construction this summer on an 11-story, Class A office building at 2050 M St. N.W. in Washington D.C. Under the design of REX Architecture PC, the building will be created with curved glass panels that will eliminate the need for mullions. The glass will also create an exterior kaleidoscopic effect, while providing floor-to-ceiling glass without view-blocking impediments.
The site currently contains CBS’ DC bureau. Tishman-Speyer has agreed to build a new, 44,000-square-foot bureau for the network, with the larger building developed on top and next to it. CBS will complete the move to the new building by February 2018. Completion of the entire structure is slated for the end of 2019.
