Tishman Speyer, Harvard Break Ground on ERC

Construction has commenced on the first phase of the Enterprise Research Campus (ERC), a nine-acre mixed-use development in Boston’s Allston neighborhood.

The first phase, approved by the Boston Planning and Development Agency in 2022, will consist of two laboratory buildings, a 343-unit rental apartment building, a hotel, and more than two acres of community-oriented public outdoor space.

Tishman Speyer, on behalf of Harvard University, will develop the mass-timber David Rubenstein Treehouse, serving as a campus-wide conference facility. The ERC development will promote innovation, inclusivity, and collaboration with community engagement, sustainable design, and equity in the project.
