Tishman Speyer Begins Construction on Santa Monica Collection

Tishman Speyer has broken ground on the first of several multifamily properties in Downtown Santa Monica, CA. Phase I of “The Santa Monica Collection” is comprised of four buildings totaling 340 units and nearly 19,000 square feet of ground-level retail with construction expected to be completed in 2025.

The first of the four to be completed will be a 56-unit, 100% affordable senior living community on Colorado Avenue, designed by KFA Architecture. Tishman Speyer is partnering with non-profit WISE & Healthy Aging to provide services for the residents. The other three buildings, designed by KFA and Studio T-SQ, will consist of 284 units, with 27 designated as affordable. They are located on Lincoln Boulevard and Broadway.

Tishman Speyer’s second phase in Santa Monica will consist of 277 apartments across four buildings, with 12% of the units designated as affordable plus 13,000 square feet of retail. The firm expects to break ground in 2024, with completion throughout 2026.
