Timberlane Boosts Boutique Hotel Portfolio; Acquires Two in Carmel-by-the-Sea

Timberlane Partners has purchased a pair of boutique hotels in Carmel-by-the Sea, the Hideaway and the Getaway, totaling 58 rooms in one of Monterey County’s top visitor destinations. Henry Bose, Alex Lee-Bull and Elena Quach with CBRE Hotels in San Francisco represented the seller, Meriwether Company.

The Hideaway and the Getaway were built in the 1950’s and renovated in 2019. Both are located near Carmel-by-the-Sea’s historic shopping district, and offer lounge space and a courtyard with a fire pit. They are also ranked in the top five of the town’s hotels on TripAdvisor.

“Carmel-by-the-Sea is a fantastic Bay Area drive-to market and has been one of the most resilient lodging markets in California”, said the CBRE team, adding, “Its proximity to the Bay Area has driven demand from local and international travelers and investor interest is stronger than ever.”
