Three-Property Hillcrest Plaza Portfolio Woos New Owner

Hillcrest Plaza, a 30,951-square-foot retail portfolio in San Diego’s Hillcrest area, recently sold for $15.27 million to a private investor. The properties were fully leased at the time of closing and include tenants such as Mattress Firm, Gossip Grill and Uptown Tavern.

Nick Totah and Ross Sanchez in Marcus & Millichap’s downtown San Diego office had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, Tim Foley of Foley Enterprises. The buyer was secured and represented by Totah.

The Hillcrest Plaza portfolio consists of three properties located at 1202 University Ave., 1220-1228 University Ave. and 1235-37 Cleveland Ave. Hillcrest Plaza is on the historic retail corridor of University Avenue adjacent to The Hub, a 150,000-square-foot class-A mixed-use shopping center owned and operated by Regency Centers.
