Thompson Thrift Picks Up 35 Acres for Gilbert Mixed-Use Project
Thomson Thrift plans to develop The Gilmore, a mixed-use project with apartment homes and more than 200,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space. The company expects to spend over $225 million on the project and break ground in the first half of 2023. It will be located off Loop 202 on the corner of Val Vista Drive and Germann Road.
“As Gilbert’s path of growth has extended south in recent years, there is a strong demand from residents to have elevated shopping and dining options near where they work and lives, “said Thompson Thrift’s Ashley Boyd.
Thompson Thrift designed The Gilmore to blend retail, restaurants and residential uses with a Main Street-style entrance, landscaping, walkways common area seating and local artists murals.
Phoenix Commercial Advisors will handle leasing on the project for Thompson Thrift. The company is established throughout Arizona, with more than 20 retail, multifamily and industrial projects under development, worth an estimated $1.5 billion.
