The Westin Riverwalk Receives Post-Covid Facelift
The hangover from the Covid pandemic is over, and the hospitality industry is making up for lost time. In San Antonio, we reported on the shuttered Wyndham San Antonio Riverwalk receiving a $158 million investment that will turn the hotel into an InterContinental Hotel. And the Westin Riverwalk San Antonio hotel has completed a renovation covering much of the downtown property.
The San Antonio Business Journal reports the $12 million project includes improvements to the 24-year-old hotel’s guest rooms and corridors, as well as public spaces. It also includes a full renovation of the Westin’s business center and fitness center, along with a restoration of the hotel’s restaurant and bar. The new business center will offer collaborative workspace with flexible seating options to accommodate individual or group needs, while guests will also have access to a reimagined WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio.
Crescent Real Estate LLC owns the Westin Riverwalk, while HEI Hotels & Resorts manages the property. The renovation took roughly eight months to complete.
