The University of Oregon Acquires Former Portland College Campus
Colliers and Foundry Commercial have partnered in the sale of the former Portland Concordia University campus to the University of Oregon. The 19-acre, 23-building complex will be transformed into a first-of-its-kind children’s mental health center dedicated to addressing children’s behavioral and mental health crises.
The firms were retained by the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) to secure a buyer that would preserve the campus’ role in the community. “We are so pleased to have presented LCEF with this opportunity from the University of Oregon,” said Collier’s Mike Holzgang who represented LCEF in the transaction. “The Concordia campus has been a source of community and connection for the surrounding neighborhood for decades, and it was important to us to find a buyer that would protect that legacy.”
The campus’s facilities include 395,000-square-feet of classroom and learning spaces, a baseball diamond and soccer field, a LEED-Gold certified library and 513 beds of student housing.
