The Salt Shed to Host Annual Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards

The 36th Annual Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards, benefitting the Greater Chicago Food Depository, will be held on May 1, 2024.

For the first time, the awards ceremony and reception, which is expected to draw 1,800 guests, will take place at a new venue: the Salt Shed. Located at 1357 N. Elston Avenue, The Salt Shed is a reimagining of the iconic Morton Salt complex the company had inhabited for nearly 100 years. Today, it has been transformed into a new indoor and outdoor music venue as well as a community space.

The Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards features a fun-filled evening with networking and a cocktail reception. The awards ceremony recognizes outstanding achievements in commercial real estate throughout Chicago.

It is also the Food Depository’s largest annual fundraiser and part of a partnership between the two groups that dates back to 1989. The Food Depository’s network of over 800 partner pantries and food programs provides access to healthy food throughout Chicagoland.
