The RAM Companies Buys 74K-SF Office Complex in South Portland for $12M

Scarborough, ME-based The RAM Companies has acquired the Atlantic Place office complex in South Portland, ME from 341 Park, LLC, for $11.9 million. RAM will rename the complex Atlantic Place Commerce Center and take over property management duties.

Howard A. Goldenfarb, Todd Goldenfarb and Mark Campbell led the acquisition effort on behalf of RAM and its affiliate, Mile Marker Investments. Jessica Estes and Drew Sigfridson of The Boulos Company represented the seller in the transaction.

The 74,000-square-foot Atlantic Place is made up of three one-story buildings. It is 100% leased and home to 21 tenants including Humana, Maine Behavioral Healthcare and Beacon Hospice. Many tenants have direct entrances to their space for ease of access for staff and clients.

RAM founder Howard A. Goldenfarb is often credited with igniting the redevelopment of Portland’s Old Port district in the 1970s with the purchase and redevelopment of more than 22 properties, including many historic buildings.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
