The RAM Companies Buys 74K-SF Office Complex in South Portland for $12M
Scarborough, ME-based The RAM Companies has acquired the Atlantic Place office complex in South Portland, ME from 341 Park, LLC, for $11.9 million. RAM will rename the complex Atlantic Place Commerce Center and take over property management duties.
Howard A. Goldenfarb, Todd Goldenfarb and Mark Campbell led the acquisition effort on behalf of RAM and its affiliate, Mile Marker Investments. Jessica Estes and Drew Sigfridson of The Boulos Company represented the seller in the transaction.
The 74,000-square-foot Atlantic Place is made up of three one-story buildings. It is 100% leased and home to 21 tenants including Humana, Maine Behavioral Healthcare and Beacon Hospice. Many tenants have direct entrances to their space for ease of access for staff and clients.
RAM founder Howard A. Goldenfarb is often credited with igniting the redevelopment of Portland’s Old Port district in the 1970s with the purchase and redevelopment of more than 22 properties, including many historic buildings.
