The Port of Vancouver Plans 40K-SF Public Market

The Port of Vancouver USA has unveiled plans for a new 40,000-square-foot public market along the city’s waterfront, drawing inspiration from Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market.

The project, which will be located near Terminal 1 along the Columbia River, is envisioned as a vibrant gathering place for the community and a key attraction for visitors. The market will host a curated mix of local food vendors, regional artisans, and specialty retailers, along with dedicated space for events, performances, and public gatherings.

Officials said the development is part of a broader strategy to activate the waterfront and create a pedestrian-friendly destination that celebrates the area’s culture and economy. Construction is expected to begin in the coming years, and the market will open by 2027.
