The Passman Group Brokers Sale of Unique LA Film Compound

RBM of California has purchased a unique office compound from Academy Award and Emmy-nominated Whitewater Films in the Sawtelle Japantown neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Passman Group brokered the sale of the four-parcel property for an undisclosed price.

Whitewater Films has been operating there for the past 15 years, and held the bi-monthly gathering of independent filmmakers called The Whitewater Roundtable at the property’s well-known courtyard site. The company’s films include Standing Up, Falling Down starring Billy Crystal and Match starring Patrick Stewart.

Los Angeles-based RBM plans to repurpose and develop the 22,000 square feet of land by building much-needed multifamily housing on the large site in West LA. Located one block from Sawtelle Avenue, the development will be situated in an area known for its trendy shops, cafes and some of the city’s most sought-after restaurants.
