The Menkiti Group Buys Worcester 526 Main Street Property
The Menkiti Group has completed the acquisition of 526 Main Street in Worcester, MA, with plans to undertake a complete rehabilitation of the historic structure. The project will feature a co-working space on the second floor and a creative maker space for local artisans. Several retail spaces along Main Street, including a corner space suitable for a sit-down restaurant, are also available for lease.
The property was previously owned by MassDevelopment, which selected The Menkiti Group as the preferred developer for the project. Financing for the project includes New Markets Tax Credits, grants from the Collaborative Workspace Program, and Historic Tax Credits.
The project’s design team includes ZDS Architecture & Interiors, Building Engineering Resources, Graves Engineering, and Roome and Guarracino. The general contractor for the project is R.P. Masiello.
