The Linden Sprouts Up Near Capitol Corridor

The Linden, a 28-story downtown Austin residential project, recently broke ground near the Capitol Corridor at 17th Street and Guadalupe Avenue. The construction follows the demolition of the William Gammon Insurance building, a two-story building that previously occupied the site for 25 years.

Designed by Austin-based Rhode Partners, the building’s construction by Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is expected to be completed in late summer 2023. Madison Realty Capital is funding the project. The Linden is being developed by New York development firm, Reger Holdings, alongside Rhode Partners.

“This inspiring project emphasizes our long-term commitment and dedication to the Austin community,” said Gordon Reger, CEO of Reger Holdings.

Located at 313 West 17th St., The Linden will range from one to three bedrooms with a limited collection of two-story penthouses.

“As the neighborhood’s first new-build in many years, The Linden will have a significant impact on reinvigorating this important area of downtown Austin,” adds Brett Rhode.

DEN Property Group, the exclusive brokerage firm representing The Linden, has signed sales contracts for 40 percent of the 117 available residences.
