Empathy Signs 5K-SF Downtown Penthouse as HQ

Empathy, an organization that supports families through loss with a blend of technology and human support, has secured a lease for 5,508 square feet at 56 West 22nd Street. The penthouse space in the 12-story building will serve as the organization’s headquarters.

Situated in the Flatiron District, the space will feature offices, meeting rooms, conference rooms, and singular phone rooms. Grant Greenspan and Will Landsberg of Kaufman Organization represented the landlord, while RJ Johns and Michael Mathias of Cushman Wakefield represented the tenant. The asking rent was $85 per square foot.

“In NYC’s real estate landscape there has been a consistent trend of a growing preference for top-tier office spaces that offer move-in readiness and flexible lease terms,” said Greenspan. “Over the past few months, we’ve observed a steady inclination among tenants towards a flight-to-quality offering.”
