TXSU-Round Rock Begins Work on $52.4M Academic Building
Texas State University broke ground on Esperanza Hall, a new 81,600-square-foot academic building on its Round Rock campus.
BGK Architects and Joeris Construction are designing and constructing the project, which costs $52.4 million. Esperanza Hall will have a tiered lecture hall, lounge area, conference room, general classrooms and study spaces.
Esperanza Hall is the first new academic building to be constructed at the Round Rock campus since Willow Hall opened in 2018. It will be the fourth academic building on the Campus.
Funds from the 2024 Texas Legislative cycle helped the university plan and construct the new building. The school is moving quickly on the construction because it expects a big enrollment increase—over 10,000 students by 2030.
The project is slated to be completed in July 2026.
