- Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) arranged $8.2 million in financing for a 132,265-square-foot self-storage property located in DeSoto, Texas. Doug Brooks secured 10-year financing at 60% loan-to-value with a national investment firm on behalf of a private client. Additional terms include a 6.46% interest rate and a 30-year amortization period. The property is operated by Grizzly Self Storage and offers both personal and commercial storage options.
- Trademark Property Company and Shivers Family Partnership today announced Whole Foods Market is coming to Shivers Farm, a 40-acre mixed-use community in Southlake, Texas. The development team is gearing up for a summer groundbreaking, with completion slated for Q4 2027. Shivers Farm will feature 111,000 square feet of retail, 38,000 square feet of Class A boutique office space.
- Lawrence Group completed Austin Regional Clinic’s (ARC) new free-standing specialty clinic, ARC South Specialty, which officially opened on June 1 at 708 West Ben White Blvd. in Austin, Texas. The 63,000-square-foot, two-level facility was designed by Lawrence Group to accommodate a comprehensive selection of specialty, primary and surgical care services at one campus location. The first floor includes 45 exam rooms and 6 treatment rooms, while the second level features 68 exam rooms and 4 treatment rooms.
- Seyfarth Shaw LLP continues to expand its real estate capabilities in Texas with the addition of Consuella (Connie) Simmons Taylor to the firm’s Houston office as a partner in its Real Estate department. Taylor previously served as firmwide chair of the Real Estate & Construction practice at Baker Botts L.L.P. Taylor was named “Lawyer of the Year” in Real Estate Law by The Best Lawyers in America in 2023.
- Hanover Company completed Kirby 288, a new speculative cross-dock industrial facility in South Houston. The approximately 213,000-square-foot warehouse is located at the northwest intersection of Kirby Drive and Mowry Road, just west of SH 288. The facility was designed to serve Houston’s growing warehousing and logistics needs, with features such as a 36-foot clear height, ample trailer parking, and convenient access to the Texas Medical Center, Beltway 8, and key port-related logistics corridors.
