- EVO Entertainment Group, which operates 15 movie theater and entertainment centers, plans to open a new venue in South Park Mall in San Antonio. The new venue, which EVO plans to open in summer 2024, will include 12 screens, dine-in cinema service, and a scratch kitchen and bar. It will create 175 jobs. The Austin-based company is rebranding as Elevate Entertainment Group.
- A joint venture between Dallas-based hospitality owner-operator NewcrestImage, Dabu Group and Preeminent Hotels has acquired a 180-room, dual-branded hotel in The Woodlands. The property comprises a 90-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel and a 90-room Residence Inn by Marriott hotel. The new ownership plans to implement a capital improvement program
- Bill Vanderstraaten, president of Chief Partners and Scott Rohrman of 42 Real Estate, will be inducted into the 2024 North Texas Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame in cooperation with NTCAR, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
- Taylor Coleman, AIA, has joined Tryba Architects. He will actively support the company’s North Texas expansion from our new studio in Dallas’ uptown neighborhood. Taylor has over 15 years of experience as an architect in Dallas, specializing in the retail, financial services, corporate and higher education sectors, and is a leader in the use of mass timber in Texas.
