- Partners Real Estate announced that Industrial, Office Leasing and Investment Sales broker Roger Hill has joined the firm as an Equity Partner in the San Antonio office. He was previously at JLL. The company recently welcomed Tracy Shuey (previously at JLL) as Vice President & Director of Property Management, to elevate its Property Management service delivery in San Antonio.
- Westmount Realty Capital added Deuce Robertson II as senior legal counsel and managing director – transactions. With over a decade of experience in real estate law, corporate structuring, and contract negotiation, Robertson brings a wealth of expertise that will support Westmount’s opportunistic investment strategy and asset management.
- CenterPoint Properties closed on the new Class-A TruePort Distribution Center at 2830 E. Pasadena Blvd. in Deer Park, Texas. The 254,705-square-foot cross-dock warehouse is fully leased to Ironwear, a manufacturer of personal protection safety products. CenterPoint’s Rives Nolen highlighted the building’s proximity to the Port of Houston’s Barbours Cut and Bayport terminals—6.5 and 10 miles from TruePort, respectively—and easy access to Beltway 8 and state highways 225 and 146 as particularly attractive components of this acquisition.
- Toyota Financial Services has signed a 242,000-square-foot office lease in Frisco. The automotive finance company will be the sole occupant of The Offices at Southstone Yards, a seven-story, mass timber building that is part of the 45-acre Southstone Yards development. CBRE represented the developer, Crow Holdings, in the lease negotiations. JLL represented Toyota Financial Services.
- CDC Houston, a subsidiary of Coventry Development Corp., has begun the renovation of the 128-room Residence Inn Houston City Place hotel. Built on 3.3 acres in 2015, the hotel is located within the 2,000-acre City Place master-planned community on the city’s north side. Julian Builders is leading design and construction of the project, which is expected to be complete in the second quarter.
