  • CapRock Partners welcomes Taylor Starnes as Vice President of Acquisitions for the Central Region. He will lead CapRock’s acquisition efforts in Texas, focusing on existing value-add industrial asset acquisitions and ground-up industrial development opportunities.  
  • Rockefeller Group announced today that Philip Croker has joined the company as Senior Managing Director and head of the company’s new Southwest Region.  He was previously a Senior Managing Director with Hines.  Based in Houston, Mr. Croker will have responsibility for Rockefeller Group’s real estate acquisitions, new developments and operations in the Southwest, specifically Texas and Arizona.  While Texas is an entirely new market for the company, Rockefeller Group has been active in Arizona for 15 years. 
  • Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces that Brandon Lester, a 17-year veteran of the firm with broad real estate advisory expertise, has been named Central Texas Regional Leader. Additionally, Robert Gaston assumes the Central Texas Regional Operations Officer role, overseeing the firm’s managed property portfolio in the region and supporting new business pursuits.
  • Stream Realty Partners has recruited industrial real estate professional Thomas (“Tommy”) Erwin to help accommodate users with heavy manufacturing needs throughout the Houston region.  Erwin joins Stream as a Vice President in its Houston office, responsible for industrial tenant representation, transaction management, and new client and business pursuits. Erwin comes to Stream from Moody Rambin, where he spent the last 4+ years as a member of their industrial and investment services team.
  • Walmart has opened a new 1.5 million-square-foot automated fulfillment center in Lancaster, Texas, near Dallas. This facility is the third of four centers the company announced last year, capable of providing next- or two-day shipping to 95 percent of the U.S. population. At full capacity, the facility will employ some 1,000 people. Walmart broke ground on the three-story facility in 2021 as part of a $800 million project.
