Texas Children’s Hospital Buys Iconic TMC Buildings

Texas Children’s Hospital acquired the O’Quinn Medical Tower and Baylor Clinic Building from Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. The seller is a joint venture between Baylor College of Medicine and CHI St. Luke’s Health. The sales price was not disclosed.

As part of the transaction, Texas Children’s will lease back a portion of each building to Baylor College of Medicine and CHI St. Luke’s Health through their joint venture. This will continue until the partners transition to the Baylor St. Luke’s McNair Campus, located south of the Texas Medical Center.

The 15-story Baylor Clinic Building, at 7200 Cambridge St., has 227,670 square feet, while the O’Quinn Tower, at 6624 Fannin, includes 445,725 square feet of office and clinical space.
