Tesla Unveils New Engineering HQ in Palo Alto
California Governor Gavin Newsom joined Tesla CEO Elon Musk on a tour of Tesla’s new global engineering and AI headquarters in Palo Alto, CA, as the electric automaker unveiled its new digs. Despite moving some offices out of state, California will remain the home of Tesla engineering, as the company works to develop the technology of the future.
“The future happens in California first,” said Governor Newsom. “We’re changing the world through our historic investments, our conveyer belt for talent and partnerships with companies like Tesla. The state continues to be the world’s innovation hub while keeping the same goal in mind: ensuring a greener, cleaner and healthier place to live for future generations.”
According to a news release from the Governor’s office, California leads the nation in the zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) market, with nearly 1.4 million vehicles sold as of December of 2022, and is home to 55 ZEV-related companies, the most of any state in the country.
