TCC’S District NoHo Wins Planning Commission Okay

The Los Angeles City Planning Commission has approved District NoHo, a proposed joint development between the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority, Trammell Crow Company and its High Street Residential affiliate. The project could bring 2.2 million square feet of housing and commercial uses to the land surrounding North Hollywood Station, Urbanize LA reported.

If final approvals are granted, the transit-oriented development would include approximately 1,500 multifamily units, up to 105,125 new square feet of retail/restaurant uses and up to 580,374 new square feet of office space. The proposed uses would be located within several buildings on multiple “blocks” ranging in height from one to 28 stories, according to the Planning Commission.

The project timeline calls for District NoHo to be constructed in multiple phases over a 15-year period. Construction would begin after project approval by the City Council and the Metro board, expected to occur in early 2024.
