Taylor Approves Two Mixed-Use Projects

Taylor’s growth can’t be understated. Due to the neighboring $17 billion Samsung chip factory (shown), Taylor is bracing for an economic development wave. Even before the opening of the plant, Taylor appears poised for a boom.

The Austin Business Journal reports that the first of two recently approved projects is called the Forterra Business Park. It’s 47 acres and adjacent to an already entitled 53-acre project called Forterra Mixed Use.

Forterra Business Park is expected to have 192,000 square feet of industrial space and 81,600 square feet of flexible office space, along with a 10,500-square-foot gas station and 9,000 square feet of retail. The plan is to bring them online by early 2027.

Forterra Mixed Use, the 53-acre half of the two projects, has 12,000 square feet of flexible office space at the front and a number of single-family housing units.
