Target Set to Open 2 New Locations in O.C.; More Coming to Calif.
Target is expanding its own-store inventory in Orange County in April. The grand openings will be held for two small-format stores in Orange County — one in Costa Mesa and another in Huntington Beach, according to a news release.
The 37,000-square-foot Costa Mesa store, at 289 E. 17th St., previously was a Ross Dress For Less department store. Just west of Costa Mesa in Huntington Beach the 34,000-square-foot location will sit at 19041 Beach Blvd. (formerly a Stein Mart store). Both locations are opening Sunday, April. 3.
Small-format Target locations offer men’s and women’s apparel and accessories, home decor, groceries, health and beauty items and tech accessories, but in a downsized format. An example of this format is at Broadway Avenue and 27th Street in Oakland, Calif.
According to Target’s website, more small-format stores are planned in California, including: Inglewood, Huntington Park, Los Angeles and North Hollywood (San Fernando Valley).
