Target Selects Houston’s Generation Park for Next Distribution Center
Construction is underway on a massive 1.4 million square foot Target distribution center in Generation Park, a 4,300-acre commercial development in the Lake Houston area of northeast Houston owned by McCord Development. Panattoni Development acquired 145-acres of land from McCord in 2022 and is developing the 1.4 million square foot project that is scheduled for completion in 2024. Ryan McCord, President of McCord Development, “Target selecting Generation Park alongside the likes of IKEA and Broadrange Logistics, further strengthens our position as one of Houston’s core logistics hubs.”
Generation Park’s Urban Fulfillment Corridor (UFC) provides companies with strategic infill locations for distribution and fulfillment centers minutes from the center of Houston’s population, the IAH international airport, and the Port of Houston and can accommodate single building footprints in excess of 2 million square feet.
Besides IKEA and Broadrange, Target is joining Chewy, Metro Furniture, Amazon, and Living Spaces.
