Swiss Re Opts for Riverfront MXU in Fort Wayne 

Sturges Property Group represented developer Barrett & Stokely in a two-story office lease for a new anchor tenant at The Riverfront at Promenade Park in downtown Fort Wayne, IN. Reinsurer Swiss RE will occupy 24,772 square feet for its new regional office, which employs nearly 200. 

A Sturges Property Group team of president Brad Sturges, senior broker Neal Bowman and listing manager Philip Hagee arranged the lease. The mixed-use project, Fort Wayne’s first commercial development along the riverfront, includes retail and 230 apartments along with office. A late-2022 completion is anticipated, and Sturges Property Group is seeking tenants for the remaining retail space. 

Jonathan Isherwood, CEO Reinsurance Americas, Swiss Re said, “We’re pleased to be able to offer such a premier space for our Fort Wayne employees and the location and surrounding amenities will also make our Fort Wayne office an attractive destination for the many visitors we host there.”
