Hoerbiger to build Delray Beach manufacturing plant

Swiss Manufacturer Eyes Delray Beach for 197K-SF Plant

Hoerbiger Corp. is considering moving its manufacturing facility from Pompano Beach to a new building west of Delray Beach.

Should it receive the necessary approvals, Hoerbiger will move into a still-to-be-built 197,790-square-foot building at 9888 Atlantic Ave., on the southeast corner of State Road 7. 30,000 square feet of the building will be offices. Last summer, the company obtained a $13.56 million construction loan. The Palm Beach County Zoning Board will consider the site plan amendment on Dec. 5.

The S. Florida Business Journal reports that the site plan application calls for a manufacturing plant in West Delray Beach that would create compressor components for the natural gas, hydrogen and clean energy sectors, supporting 400 high-paying jobs.

Hoerbiger, founded in 1925 in Switzerland, has operations in 43 countries. If all goes well, the project could break ground in June 2025.
