Swiss Logistics Firm Delivers 432K-SF Laredo Trade Facility

A Swiss logistics company has joined a number of other high-profile industrial park developers in choosing to build a project in Laredo, the nation’s busiest port. Kuehne + Nagel recently completed a 432,000-square-foot distribution and trade complex in Laredo. The San Antonio Business Journal reports that the firm said the new facility would help customers manage “nearshoring complexities” in an ever-changing trade environment.

Other companies, such as DSV, are investing $90 million in a 905,000-square-foot distribution center. As is, Stotan Industrial, which broke ground on a similar project in March, is estimating a price tag of more than $100 million.

On its website, the Port of Laredo says it is the number one port in the nation among more than 450 airports, seaports, and border crossings, with $339 billion in total trade with the world in 2024, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.
