Swinerton, a national industry-leading commercial construction and construction management services firm, has named Nick Vovakes Vice President and Division Manager of its Seattle office. With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Vovakes is well-equipped to lead Seattle’s growing operations. His predecessor, Dave Worley, is set to retire in October after 21 years with Swinerton.

Vovakes was most recently Operations Manager, and since joining Swinerton in 2011, he has been instrumental in increasing Swinerton’s healthcare footprint and provided leadership to expand the office’s existing target markets in Seattle.

“We will focus on smart, organic growth, so we don’t lose that touch of family atmosphere, but we can branch off into some diversified markets and have a nice portfolio of work,” Vovakes says. Under his leadership, the Seattle office will look to continue its momentum with mass timber while also growing its presence in the healthcare market and expanding into the life sciences sector.
